Bio

Grant Winkels has been performing since he was a wee boy. After years of hard partying and gigging as a musician, he finally convinced himself that he was funny. He’s been trying to convince audiences ever since. Examining his shortcomings past, present and future, Grant pretends to be light-hearted, but his exasperation always creeps in. He can be seen performing in the Twin Cities at the Comedy Corner Underground, The Comedy Room at Sisyphus, Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy and Laugh Camp Comedy Club.

Grant co-hosts the podcast, We Cool?, where he and his friends, Tommy Bayer and Ryan Kahl read anonymous apologies that their listeners send in. He has appeared in the 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival in Minneapolis and Sno Jam Comedy Festival in Sioux Falls. He performs all over the Midwest and has opened for comedians such as Matt Braunger, Brad Williams, Kate Quigley and Mary Mack. He co-hosts a monthly show at Fair State Brewing in Northeast Minneapolis with Courtney Baka. He was a Semi-Finalist in the Funniest Person in Minneapolis Contest and has performed in The Fearless Comedy Die Laughing Festival in Minneapolis.
